To recall, the latest smartphone Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro was launched in China last week.
It comes with a notch on top of the display and in-display fingerprint reader which
is pressure-sensitive. The phone is powered by 2.8GHz Snapdragon 845 processor
which is paired with Adreno 630 GPU. Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro features 6.21-inch Full
HD+ (2,248 × 1,080 pixels) was made AMOLED for graphics.
Xiaomi global spokesperson Donovan Sung announced that Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro will be launched soon in global markets across the world via twitter. The phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a transparent back cover. It phone will be available in many color options, as per the tweet. Sung also shared the unboxing pictures of Mi 8 Pro, which reveals a design much like Mi 8 Explorer Edition and vertically aligned dual rear cameras as well. The phone is also likely to be available in a reflective orange and red back cover design.
On the camera front, Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro sports a 12MP (f/1.8) + 12MP (f/2.4) dual
rear sensors. The camera is backed up by Artificial Intelligence (AI) features like
AI scene recognition, AI studio light effect and some more. The front camera is
20MP with 3D Beauty, AI Portrait mode. The phone also serves the brilliant IR
Face Unlock feature. This device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s MIUI
skin on top.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro packs a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It was launched in two variants in China – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. Talking about connectivity criteria, it supports dual sim GSM+GSM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi with Wifi hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, and USB Type-C v1.0. It also has accelerometer, gyroscope and compass to name sensors. Mi 8 Pro has 154.9×74.87.6 mm dimensions and weighs 177 g which is a little heavy.
